Rayleigh Scattering:
Application of various non-linear spectroscopic techniques for the measurement of off-body flow field parameters in wind tunnels. Examples of techniques are :
- Raman Doppler Velocimetry (RDV)
- Laser-induced thermal acoustics (LITA)
- Stimulated (and spontaneous) Rayleigh scattering
- Plasma diagnostics
Velocity, temperature, and pressure are typical flow parameters that can be measured non-invasively and remotely with these optical techniques. |
